December 3 – International Day of Persons with Disabilities “Let’s Grow Hopes, Not Barriers”

In recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a meaningful awareness event was held at our Vocational School.

The program was conducted under the moderation of Vice Director Lect. Alican Bahadır Semerci.

During the event, Medical Laboratory Techniques students Teslime Nur Şenol, Elif Kale, and Türer Şen delivered a presentation titled “Let’s Grow Hopes, Not Barriers”, addressing themes such as disability, equal rights, social awareness, and inclusivity.

In their presentation, the students provided important information on the definition of disability, challenges faced in daily life, social support mechanisms, accessibility, and participation in education and employment. They also shared practical examples and recommendations aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and strengthening societal sensitivity.

At the conclusion of the event, the importance of raising public awareness regarding disability was emphasized, highlighting that all individuals share responsibility in building a more inclusive, sensitive, and accessible society.
