Within the scope of Earthquake Awareness Week, an informative presentation was delivered to students. The event addressed the importance of increasing earthquake awareness, learning appropriate behaviors during disasters, and raising individuals who are prepared for possible emergencies.
During the presentation, students were informed about the mechanism of earthquakes, the importance of being prepared for disasters since Türkiye is located in an earthquake-prone region, and the individual precautions that should be taken before an earthquake. Particular emphasis was placed on vital practices such as the "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" technique and identifying safe areas during an earthquake.

The program also provided information about what should be done after an earthquake, the importance of first aid, preparing emergency action plans, and the necessity of assembling an emergency kit. It was emphasized that developing disaster awareness among students is of great importance for increasing community resilience. The presentation also addressed common misconceptions about earthquakes. In addition to individual preparedness, the importance of social awareness and solidarity in disaster situations was highlighted.
