Visually Impaired Individuals Gathered at a Picnic Event Held in Karatay City Park

A picnic event was organized in Karatay City Park for visually impaired individuals to foster social cohesion and solidarity, in collaboration with Necmettin Erbakan University Disabled Student Unit Coordination, the Association for the Protection of the Visually Impaired, and the Karatay Municipality.

Many visually impaired students and citizens attended the event, which was held to raise awareness about disability in society, encourage the participation of visually impaired individuals in social life, and strengthen the culture of cooperation between different institutions.

Participants enjoyed a pleasant time together in a welcoming environment surrounded by nature. Throughout the event, a variety of food and beverages were offered, and participants chatted, played games, and forged new friendships while listening to music.

A visually impaired student from Necmettin Erbakan University who attended the event expressed her feelings as follows:
"These kinds of events help us socialize and feel stronger within society. Being together is very valuable."

Representatives of the Association for the Protection of the Visually Impaired expressed their satisfaction with the collaboration, stating that such social activities are an important source of motivation for disabled individuals to participate in social life.
