Friendship in the Magical World of Horses: Let’s Go Horseback Riding!” Event Held through Inter-Institutional Collaboration
Under the coordination of Necmettin Erbakan University Konya Ereğli Kemal Akman Vocational School and the Ereğli District Directorate of Youth and Sports, and in cooperation with the Ereğli Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, a breakfast, horse interaction, and horseback riding event was organized at Özsarı Horse Farm for participants of the Family Support Center (ADEM), which operates under the Foundation, and their children.
The event, entitled “Friendship in the Magical World of Horses: Let’s Go Horseback Riding!”, was held at Özsarı Horse Farm on July 30, 2026, with the participation of Mr. Fatih GENEL, District Governor of Ereğli; Prof. Dr. Metin ARMAĞAN, Director of our Vocational School; protocol members; children; and their families.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Leman ELMAS from the Ereğli District Directorate of Youth and Sports, with Lecturer Mehmet Hanifi YALÇIN from our Vocational School serving as the instructor, and was organized with the contributions of Mehtap GÜR, Director of the Ereğli Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, and Naci DELİCE, Coordinator of the Ereğli Family Support Center. The program began with a breakfast that brought participants together in a spirit of unity and solidarity. Following breakfast, the children had the opportunity to meet and interact with horses and experience horseback riding under the guidance of expert instructors, creating enjoyable and unforgettable memories. The event concluded with a group commemorative photograph.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the management of Özsarı Horse Farm for hosting and sponsoring this meaningful event, which contributed to the social development of our children and provided them with an opportunity to spend quality time in a warm and caring environment. We also extend our thanks to all institutions and stakeholders who contributed to the organization.
Furthermore, the event gained additional significance as it was held within the framework of both the “Decade of Family and Population” and “International Day of Friendship.”
