Technical Visit to Adana Yeşiloba Racecourse by Our Equine Studies and Horse Training Program Students
Necmettin Erbakan University Konya Ereğli Kemal Akman Vocational School continues to organize technical visits and field study activities to help students reinforce their theoretical knowledge through professional practice and gain first-hand insight into the sector.
As part of these activities, a technical visit to Adana Yeşiloba Racecourse was organized on September 20, 2026, for students of the Equine Studies and Horse Training Program. Coordinated by Lecturer Mehmet Hanifi YALÇIN and Lecturer Mustafa ERZEN, the visit also provided our students with the opportunity to watch the “Konya Ereğli Municipality Race” on site.
During the technical visit, our students had the opportunity to observe the organization and operation of horse races, the facilities and track infrastructure of the racecourse, pre- and post-race procedures, and professional practices within the equine industry. This enabled them to connect the theoretical knowledge acquired in their courses with practices in a real-world professional environment.
Throughout the program, our students also met with field experts and administrative staff and received information about the operation of the sector and professional practices. The experts’ sharing of their knowledge and experience contributed to enhancing the students’ professional knowledge and awareness.
We would like to express our appreciation to Ereğli Municipality for providing transportation support and contributing to the organization of this technical visit, which aimed to enhance our students’ professional knowledge and experience, enable them to gain first-hand insight into the sector, and raise their awareness of potential career opportunities after graduation.
Our Vocational School will continue to organize practice-oriented educational activities that enhance our students’ professional competencies and strengthen cooperation with the sector.
