250 Thousand Euros Support for Erasmus Project Coordinated by our University
Our university has achieved another important success by entering the list of only seven institutions among 135 project applications made within the scope of Erasmus+ Key Action 2 Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education (KA220-HED) by the Directorate of the Center for European Union Education and Youth Programs (Turkish National Agency) in 2023.
The project titled “E-STORIES”, which will be carried out for 36 months under the coordination of Dr. Hayriye Ulaş Taraf, Lecturer at the School of Foreign Languages of our University and Deputy Erasmus Institution Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Derya Yıldız, Lecturer at the Department of Turkish Language Teaching at Ahmet Keleşoğlu Faculty of Education, and Dr. Ayten Bülbül, Lecturer at the Department of Linguistics at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, was granted with a budget of 250 thousand Euros.
Within the scope of the project, which will be carried out under the coordination of our university in partnership with Konya Technical University, Paderborn University from Germany, Malaga University from Spain, Crete University from Greece and WEBIN from Serbia, enriched language teaching programs will be designed with a multidisciplinary approach blended with innovative teaching methods such as digital storytelling for international students of the relevant universities both face-to-face and online.
Through E-STORIES, the consortium aims to enable international/immigrant university students to make gains in using the language of the country they are in, especially to improve their speaking and creative writing and storytelling skills, to strengthen their digital competencies and digital literacy, and to improve their intercultural competencies and awareness.
