Our Students Won the Championship

Organized under the auspices of Yozgat Bozok University, the 7th annual “Shoot an Arrow for History” competition—which featured 19 university teams and over 450 athletes—saw Edanur Adıgüzel and Meryem Kirazdere, Ümmü Nefise Avşar, and Esin İnözü, with academic guidance provided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Aygör, a faculty member of our Department of Art History, won the championship as the women’s team of our University’s traditional Archery Club, while Edanur Adıgüzel took first place in the women’s individual category. In the highly competitive matches, the men’s team also finished fifth. The team, coached by Bayram Konyalı, continues its training without pause. Noting that success is never a coincidence and that the rankings achieved in the last four championships are entirely the result of disciplined and determined efforts, the Club’s academic advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Aygör, emphasized that they will continue to successfully represent both our university and our country at a professional level. He noted that they always feel the valuable support of all relevant units of our university, led by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu.
