Food Photography and Artificial Intelligence: A Revolution or a Transformation in Visual Production?

The conference titled “Food Photography and Artificial Intelligence: Revolution or Transformation in Visual Production?”, organized by the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Faculty of Tourism, was held with high participation. Moderated by Associate Professor Yeliz Pekerşen, a faculty member of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Faculty of Tourism, the conference featured photographer Kerim Arı as a speaker. The event addressed the development process of food photography, the impact of digital technologies on the sector, and the new opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in the field of visual production. Participants had the opportunity to hear different perspectives on the question of whether artificial intelligence represents a revolution or a transformation of existing processes in photography. Throughout the conference, Kerim Arı shared his professional experiences, offering assessments on aesthetic approaches, light usage, composition, and creative processes in food photography. He also presented examples of the application of AI-supported visual production tools in the sector. The program concluded after answering questions from students and academics.
