Nutrition Assistance - Meal Grant Announcement

Determining the Number of Students to Receive Meal Grants

At the beginning of each academic year, the number of free meal scholarships to be awarded to students with insufficient financial means is determined by the University Administrative Board upon the recommendation of the Department Chair, taking into account previous years' practices, needs, and performance data, as well as budgetary constraints and the limits specified in Article 46 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547. Ten percent of the determined amount is reserved for students in need, as determined by the Rectorate. In addition to the conditions specified in Article 8, students whose monthly family income is below the gross minimum wage may apply for meal scholarships. (In case of false declaration, the meal scholarship will be canceled and meal fees will be collected retroactively.)
