Our Rector Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, who made the opening speech of the program, first wished God's mercy to our martyrs who lost their lives in Operation Olive Branch and the fight against terrorism, a recovery to our veterans and patience to their relatives. Rector Şeker said the following about the workshop: “We will address our problems, weaknesses and strengths and we will have conducted a study in terms of renewal and motivation. By analyzing the work we have done so far, current deficiencies and what needs to be done will be revealed and evaluated. We should question ourselves without making excuses or taking the easy way out. As a result, we need to improve ourselves in order to benefit the nation, society and future generations and to reciprocate the support we receive from the state. I think it would be better to do this not by forcing, but with a sense of responsibility and a self-control system. We are here to spread the strategic plan approach to all stakeholders and to improve. I hope it will be a successful workshop.”

After the opening program, the participants were divided into 11 groups and exchanged ideas to identify weaknesses and strengths in terms of quality and strategy and to offer suggestions for improvement.

As part of the workshop, Istanbul Technical University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, “Postgraduate Education in Turkey: Current Situation and What Needs to Be Done”, Sakarya University Rector and YÖK Quality Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas shared his presentations titled “Quality in YÖK” and Marmara University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ercan Öztemel shared his presentations titled “Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0” with the participants. On the last day of the program, group spokespeople conveyed the workshop findings with 10-minute presentations. The Quality and Strategy Workshop ended with a general evaluation and a photo shoot.
