According to the data obtained from Web of Science - InCites Dataset on April 14, 2025, the total number of publications published by Necmettin Erbakan University between 2019-2023 was recorded as 3357. Publications in early view were included in the search query, but documents in ESCI (Emerging Sources Citation Index) were excluded.
While 77.99% of these publications were cited, a total of 29,755 citations were found. The normalized citation impact of the publications was 1.02 and the citation impact was 8.86. This value reveals that Necmettin Erbakan University publications exhibit a citation performance above the world average in the relevant academic fields.
Among the 3,357 publications, 3,266 appeared in journals indexed within the Journal Impact Factor (JIF) framework. The quartile distribution of these publications is as follows:
- Q1: 1059 publications (32.42%)
- Q2: 781 publications (23.91%)
- Q3: 724 publications (22.17%)

The total number of citations peaked at 7,790 in 2020 and declined to 2,896 in 2023, as shown in Figure 3.

The citation impact value decreased from 14.04 in 2020 to 3.59 in 2023, indicating a downward trend in average citations per publication (see Figure 4).

In contrast, the normalised citation impact rose from 0.72 in 2019 to 1.09 in 2023, as illustrated in Figure 5. This increase suggests that the relative impact of publications has improved, even as total citations have declined.
