Sustainability and Action Plan

Necmettin Erbakan University is implementing a comprehensive Sustainability and Action Plan that reflects its commitment and responsibility towards sustainability. This plan enables the University to take strategic steps toward the future by addressing environmental, social and economic sustainability principles in an integrated and holistic manner. The Sustainability and Action Plan aims to align the University’s core missions of education, research, and community engagement with principles of environmental awareness and social responsibility. Within this framework, a range of initiatives are being implemented across our campuses to improve energy efficiency, strengthen waste management systems, promote water conservation and reduce our carbon footprint. In addition, the University organizes various educational programs and awareness-raising activities to enhance sustainability awareness among students and staff. The main objectives of the Sustainability Action Plan include increasing the use of renewable energy resources, promoting environmentally friendly transportation alternatives and supporting research and development projects focused on the protection of natural resources. Through this action plan, Necmettin Erbakan University seeks to contribute to building a more sustainable future at both local and global levels.
