Prof. Dr. Hakan SARI:
After completing his education at Kırşehir Education High School and Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hakan SARI pursued Master's Degree in Special Education Department at Warwick University and completed his Ed.D. in Special Education at Oxford Brookes University, in the United Kingdom. He returned to Türkiye in 2000 and he founded special education department in Education Faculty. He has been serving as a Head of the Department and a Head of the Division in Special Education Department, which was established in 2001 since 2000. Prof. Dr. Hakan SARI has authored numerous books, book chapters, research articles, and reports on the education of children with special educational needs and children with autism, both nationally and internationally. Additionally, he has represented Türkiye in numerous international congresses. In line with this mission, he contributes to education by training undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate students in the fields of special education and autism. Furthermore, he has successfully held positions as a ministerial advisor, General Director for Special Education and Counselling Services General Directorate in the Ministry of National Education. He was also, in the Higher Education Council (YÖK), presidential advisor at various times in Türkiye before returning to his academic duties at the university. Currently, he continues to serve as the Head of the Department and Head of the Division in the Special Education Department. He was also an administrator for Autism studies, Research and Application Centre (NEOTAM) in Necmettin Erbakan University. In addition to these, he taught numerous successful individuals to be able to be appointed as special education teachers by the Ministry of National Education and academic by the Turkish Higher Education Council and currently supervising many doctorate and Master students in Special Education Department. He is also founder of ‘Turkish Special Education Journal: International’ and executive editor for that Journal. Prof. Dr. Hakan SARI is married and has two children.
Dr. Süleyman ARSLANTAŞ:
Dr. Süleyman ARSLANTAŞ, born in 1975, is an educator. He earned his bachelor's degree in Primary Education from Selçuk University in 1999, his Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the same university in 2005, and his doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Necmettin Erbakan University Institute of Educational Sciences in 2015. He began his career as a primary school teacher under the Ministry of National Education in 1999 and worked as a special education teacher from 2005 to 2017. Since 2017, he has been serving as a faculty member at Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Education. His academic research focuses on special education, instructional methods, student motivation, and technology integration. Dr. Arslantaş has published over 20 national and international articles, contributed to nearly 10 book chapters, and edited several academic works on the education of children with autism and special education. His research particularly emphasizes autism, students with special educational needs, inclusive education, and digital teaching tools. He has participated in EU and TÜBİTAK-funded projects as an expert, researcher, or project coordinator. Additionally, he has contributed to national education curricula by serving on textbook review committees for mathematics, social studies, sports, and fine arts high schools under the Ministry of National Education.
Dr. Fatih KOÇAK:
Dr. Fatih KOÇAK completed his undergraduate degree in Special Education (Intellectual Disabilities Teaching) at Anadolu University in 2002, his Master's Degree in Special Education at Selçuk University in 2011, and his Ph.D. in Special Education at Necmettin Erbakan University, Institute of Educational Sciences, in 2020. Between 2002 and 2011, he worked as a teacher and administrator in schools and institutions under the Ministry of National Education (MEB). From 2013 to 2017, he served as a lecturer in the Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University. His master's and doctoral research focused on the education of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). His scientific interests include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Applied Behavior Analysis, Language and Communication Skills, Problem Behaviors and Behavior Management, and Single-Subject Research. He has authored book chapters and research articles published by national and international publishers, presented at scientific conferences, and served as a researcher and coordinator in various projects. Dr. Koçak teaches undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses in Special Education and Autism Spectrum Disorder Education. Since 2017, he has been serving as an academic advisor for SOBE (Selçuklu Autism Foundation) and, since 2023, for DOSD (Meram Down Syndrome Individuals Education Centre). He is currently a faculty member in the Autism Spectrum Disorder Education Division of the Special Education Department at Necmettin Erbakan University and serves as the Deputy Director of NEOTAM (Necmettin Erbakan University Autism Studies Research and Application Center)
