Excuse Exams for students who had the right to take the 2025-2026 academic year Fall semester midterm exams but were unable to attend due to justifiable and valid excuses accepted by the administrative board, will be held between December 08-10, 2025.

The excuse exam dates for the common compulsory courses; the exam dates to be determined by the Coordinatorship will be announced in the coming days.

Exams and Summer School

ARTICLE 12 – (1) e) (Amended: Official Gazette-26/9/2022-31965) Excuse Exam: The right to an excuse exam is granted to students who could not attend the midterm exams due to an excuse. Excuse exam applications must be made within the period specified in Article 18. Excuse exams and their results must be completed at least one week before the final exams. No excuse exam right is granted for any other exam besides this. Students who had the right to take the midterm exams but were unable to attend, whose justifiable and valid excuses are accepted by the relevant administrative boards, shall take their midterm exams on the day, place, and time announced by the dean's office or directorate within the same semester. Students cannot take exams during the period they are reported ill. The exam of students who take the exam during the period they are reported ill will be considered invalid.

Excuses

ARTICLE 18 – (1) (Amended: Official Gazette-26/9/2022-31965) Students who declare an excuse for a justifiable and valid reason determined by the University must apply in writing to the dean's office or directorate, along with the document showing their excuse, within a maximum of 5 business days starting from the end date of their excuse. Excuses not reported within this period are not accepted. Students are considered absent during the period they are excused. Any excuse presented by students does not provide exemption regarding attendance.
