The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Necmettin Erbakan University, located in Ereğli, one of Turkey's leading centers for agriculture and animal husbandry, continues its educational activities to train qualified veterinarians and maximize animal health and welfare. Our faculty, which began teaching in the 2020-2021 academic year with 60+2 students, comprises the Departments of Clinical Sciences, Preclinical Sciences, Basic Sciences, Animal Science and Nutrition, and Veterinary Food Hygiene and Technologies, and is affiliated with 20 departments. With its modern educational approach, strong academic staff, and hands-on training opportunities, our faculty aims to develop veterinarians who are competent in their fields, committed to ethical values, and knowledgeable about contemporary requirements.
Konya's extensive agricultural lands, developed livestock potential, and strategic location provide our students with opportunities to actively participate in fieldwork, farm practices, and research projects. Our faculty continues to contribute to the field at both the regional and national levels through scientific studies on animal health, animal nutrition, combating zoonotic diseases, and public health.
As the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Necmettin Erbakan University, we continue our work with the goal of training future veterinarians, focusing on protecting animal and public health, increasing scientific productivity, and adhering to ethical principles.
