Necmettin Erbakan University Ereğli Kemal Akman Vocational School of Higher Education
The Ereğli Kemal Akman Vocational School of Higher Education at Necmettin Erbakan University began offering education in the 2006–2007 academic year under the name Selçuk University Ereğli Vocational School. Graduates are awarded an Associate Degree Diploma and the title of Business Administration Specialist.
Student placements are determined by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
To be eligible for graduation, students must complete a total of 120 ECTS credits over four semesters, successfully pass all courses, achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00, and complete a 25-day internship.
Evaluation and Grading
- Midterm Exam (A): At least one midterm exam is administered for each course every semester.
- Final Exam (B): Final exams are held at the end of the semester or academic year in which the course is completed. Only students who meet attendance requirements and have successfully completed any practical components of the course are eligible to take the final exam.
- Make-up Exam (C): Make-up exams are scheduled within the dates announced in the academic calendar following final exams. Students who were eligible but did not attend the final exam or failed it may take the make-up exam.
- Single Course Exam (D): Students who have only one course remaining to graduate are eligible to take a single course exam within one month following the make-up exams. These exams are administered by the faculties or vocational schools.
- Exemption Exam (E): At the beginning of the semester, an exemption exam is offered for students who are enrolled in compulsory foreign language courses or required to attend a preparatory language class.
- Excuse-Based Make-up Exam (F): Students who are unable to take midterm exams due to a valid reason may apply to take a make-up exam within the same semester. These are scheduled and announced by the relevant faculty or school administration upon the approval of the respective administrative board.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Business Administration program can pursue careers in departments such as management, accounting, finance, human resources, production, marketing, and public relations within industrial, commercial, and service enterprises. They may also find employment in public and private sector banks, investment and finance institutions, as well as in certified public accounting and sworn-in certified public accountant offices.
