March 8 International Women’s Day Seminar
A meaningful seminar was organized at our Vocational School within the scope of International Women’s Day. The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Gamze Yıldırım, who addressed the role of women in social life, the historical development of women’s rights, and the contributions of women to education, science, and healthcare. In her speech, she emphasized that strengthening the role of women in society is of great importance for social development.
The seminar also highlighted violence against women, women’s rights, and the sensitivity that society should demonstrate regarding these issues. It was emphasized that violence against women is not only an individual problem but also a social issue, and the importance of raising awareness, educating conscious individuals, and developing social sensitivity in this regard was underlined.
The program, which attracted great interest from the students, also addressed the social and professional challenges faced by women, while emphasizing that ensuring equal opportunities is important for all segments of society. The seminar concluded with students sharing their opinions and reflections.
