A seminar titled “3D Imaging and Artificial Intelligence in Radiology” was organized for first-year students of the Medical Imaging Techniques (MIT) Program at our Vocational School. The event was conducted by our faculty member, Lecturer Burak Şen.
During the seminar, the fundamental features of 3D Slicer, an advanced medical image processing software, were introduced, and students were informed about how radiological images can be examined in three dimensions. In addition, the role of artificial intelligence—one of the key drivers shaping the future of medical technologies—in the field of radiology was discussed. Emphasis was placed on its contributions to diagnostic processes, its advantages in image analysis, and its importance within clinical workflows.
The seminar, which aimed to enhance students’ awareness of next-generation healthcare technologies and to support the development of their professional vision, concluded with a question-and-answer session.
