The Department of Painting was established in 2013 and consists of two main branches: Painting and Printmaking Techniques. The department aims to educate and train professional painters. Its primary goal is to provide an art education that looks toward the future while maintaining ties with traditional art education within the cultural process influenced by science and technology.
The department seeks to ensure that students possess the cultural values necessary to exhibit behaviors required by the contemporary era, draw inspiration from diverse cultures, reflect traditional art through contemporary forms, and comprehend the role of society in the existence of culture and art.
Among the areas of practice and employment for graduates of the Department of Painting are curatorship, galleries, art-related institutions, and private initiatives. Graduates can pursue various career paths such as curatorship, gallery management, positions in art institutions, or academic careers at universities.
