History Department

The Department of History was established in 2010. The department consists of 6 (six) main disciplines: History of the Republic of Turkey, Modern History, Medieval History, Modern History, Ancient History and General Turkish History. The Department of History aims to train the historians of the future. The aim of the Department of History is to investigate and examine all periods of human history, especially modern periods, mainly Turkish-Islamic History, in general, human history, especially modern periods, within the framework of world history according to the principles of history discipline with a holistic and comparative approach, making use of modern technologies. In addition, at the undergraduate level, it is aimed to train researchers with a sense of history who can work in archives, libraries and various institutions related to history and information.
