The Department of Philosophy Undergraduate Program, established in 2011 within the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at Necmettin Erbakan University, has started accepting students as of the 2012-2013 academic year. The academic staff of the department consists of 3 Professors, 4 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, 4 Research Assistants and 1 Lecturer. The department consists of 5 main branches: History of Philosophy, Systematic Philosophy and Logic, Turkish Islamic Thought, Values and Political Philosophy, and Philosophy and History of Science. Our aim is to raise graduates who can recognize the history of philosophy and the basic problem areas of philosophy, who can approach the cultural, social and ethical problems of our age with a philosophical perspective, who criticize, ask questions, do research and have a sense of responsibility rather than being satisfied with problems. Graduate students have opportunities to work as teachers in public and private education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education and find positions in the departments of public and private institutions related to education, culture, human relations, planning, management and evaluation.
