The Department of Philosophy at Necmettin Erbakan University, established in 2011 within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, has been welcoming students since the 2012–2013 academic year. The department offers a high-quality education supported by a strong academic staff of 4 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors, 3 Research Assistants, and 1 Lecturer.
Comprised of the Divisions of History of Philosophy, Systematic Philosophy and Logic, Turkish-Islamic Thought, Values and Political Philosophy, and Philosophy and History of Science, the department provides students with a comprehensive understanding of both the historical depth and contemporary relevance of philosophical inquiry.
The department is committed to educating individuals who not only acquire knowledge but also question, critique, and produce thought. It equips students with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling them to engage with cultural, social, and ethical issues from a philosophical perspective.
