The Department of Turkish Language and Literature was established in 2010. The department consists of six main fields of study: Old Turkish Language, New Turkish Language, Old Turkish Literature, New Turkish Literature, Turkish Folk Literature, and Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures. The Department of Turkish Language and Literature aims to train academics, researchers, and teachers. The purpose of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature is to research and examine written and oral works in the field of Turkish language and literature from the past to the present and to train scientists, experts, and teachers in the field of Turkish language and literature.
