Our faculty was established on November 24, 1962, under the name of the Higher Islamic Institute. Initially founded as a four-year teacher training institution affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, it produced its first graduates in 1966. On July 20, 1982, the institute was affiliated with Selçuk University, taking its place among the Faculties of Theology. Today, our faculty continues its educational activities in its building located on Meram Yeni Yol in the city center of Konya.
