How can I arrive in Konya?
Although there is a couple of direct international flights to Konya, you might find a connecting flight from İstanbul much easier. After arriving in İstanbul or Ankara, you may choose to take the high-speed train to Konya as well. From Ankara, the plane is not an option due to the proximity of the two cities. Also, you can take buses from any city in Turkey to Konya.
How is the public transportation in Konya?
Buses, minibusses (dolmuş), tramways, bicycles, and electric scooters (BinBin) are the main public transportations in Konya. You can use a contactless credit card or Konya ELKART (rechargeable public transportation car sold for 1.5₺ in signed metal booths) for payment in buses and trams. In minibusses (dolmuş), you can pay only in cash. The full bus fare is 2.50₺, while the bus fare for students is 1.55₺. Once you got your NEÜ student ID card, you can use it in buses and trams after you top it up. For bicycles and electric scooters, you must use a credit card.
How can I arrive in NEÜ?
After you arrive at the airport, you can either take a taxi or take the airport buses run by a company called HAVAŞ. Airport buses will take you to the city center (15₺ - 2021 price) from where you can take public transportation to your accommodation. Public transportation from the city center to

If you arrive in Konya by train, after 10 minutes walk, you can take buses 8, 13 or 14 to go to the city center or buses 2 or 4 to the university.
If you take a bus to Konya, from the bus station you can take the tram to the city center.
Buses are running until midnight while trams work 24 hours.
Bicycles and electric scooters are available at certain stations.

You can contact directly us and your Erasmus Office, so we can initiate a bilateral agreement with your institution. Also, you can come to NEÜ as an exchange student without an agreement, under Free Mover status, by paying the semester fee.
