DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGIOUS SCIENCES

The Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences aims to systematically analyze the phenomenon of religion from the perspective of humanities with an interdisciplinary approach. In this context, basic issues such as the epistemological, ontological, sociological, psychological and pedagogical dimensions of religion; its transformations in the historical process; its reflections in individual and collective consciousness; the relations between reason, faith and modernity; the impact of religion on social structure and cultural codes; the contributions of philosophical traditions of thought that shape the perception of religion; the theoretical interactions between Islamic and Western thought systems; methods of correct thinking within the framework of the principles of logic; and the historical evolution of religious education and its position in contemporary educational paradigms are addressed. By analyzing the phenomenon of religion in a multidimensional way, this chapter aims to provide a holistic understanding on both theoretical and practical levels.
