- Mural paintings were created on the exterior walls of Hatice – Ercüment Köyübay Kızılay Kindergarten. - The mural work was carried out by Mehmet Paşalı and Mevlüt Ömer Köse, graduate students from the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Necmettin Erbakan University. - A total of eight visual pieces were created as part of the mural project. - Thanks to the three-dimensional murals, kindergarten students will be able to feel as if they are in space, touch a dolphin, float into the sky with balloons, and throw a ball into a basketball hoop.

The "Department of Painting 2025 Graduation Exhibition," featuring works by the senior students of the Department of Painting from the 2024-2025 academic year, was opened on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Hattat Hüseyin Kutlu Conference Hall Exhibition Area. The exhibition included works by 19 students. Since it coincided with the graduation ceremony, students and their families were also able to view the exhibition.

• Within the scope of the cooperation protocol between Karatay Municipality and Necmettin Erbakan University, two murals themed “Karatay Mektebi Memory” were created on the exterior walls of the Karatay Tabiat Mektebi workshop buildings. • The project involved third-year students from the Department of Painting as part of the RSM-310-S Wall Painting and Practice course, as well as fourth-year and graduate students. • The work was supervised by Prof. Mustafa Küçüköner. • The murals were painted on the rear facades of the two workshop buildings covered with wooden cladding at Karatay Tabiat Mektebi. • Throughout the project, Karatay Municipality provided transportation, meals, and materials. • As a result, two different visuals were created in front of which children from primary schools visiting Tabiat Mektebi in the Karatay district can take group photos, leaving them with a pleasant memory of their workshop activities.

• Within the scope of Yunus Emre motherland activities, the "12 May Yunus Emre International Group Exhibition" was opened at the Yunus Emre Culture House in collaboration with Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University and the Turkish Folk Culture Application and Research Center. • The group exhibition featured a total of 35 artists and 40 works, with participation from our Department of Painting by Prof. Mustafa Küçüköner, Assoc. Prof. Muzaffer Yılmaz, and Dr. Öğr. Ü. Mehmet Susuz presenting their works.

• The artworks, including paintings themed on East Turkistan and Palestine, previously prepared by students of the Department of Painting, were included in the fair organized by Nevzat Keleşoğlu Faculty of Health Sciences and student clubs of Necmettin Erbakan University, with contributions from the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture. • Our exhibition remained open throughout the fair and was viewed by attendees. • The proceeds from the paintings purchased during the fair were donated in support of Palestine.

• As part of the “Çatalhöyük Painting and Printmaking Project,” initiated within the “Experimental Relief Print” course for third-year students and the “Workshop” and “Project Design Practice” courses for fourth-year students of the Department of Painting, a study trip was organized to the Çatalhöyük Archaeological Site and the museum areas at the reception unit on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 09:00 to 13:00. The trip was conducted with our faculty members Assoc. Prof. Muzaffer Yılmaz, Dr. Mehmet Susuz, Dr. Ömer Tayfur Öztürk, and the students enrolled in the courses. • A total of 45 participants, including faculty and students, joined the trip and recorded photos and videos on site. The collected visuals were later used in the workshop environment, where students worked on canvas with acrylic paint and practiced both relief and intaglio printing techniques in the printmaking studio. The completed works will be exhibited in a future exhibition.

• On Thursday, April 17, 2025, as part of the “Tourism Week Celebrations” held in Hüyük District, Konya, open-air painting activities were carried out by fourth-year students of the Department of Painting at Tolca Village, on the shores of Lake Beyşehir, during the afternoon. • These activities were the result of a collaborative effort between the Konya Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Necmettin Erbakan University. • The painting sessions took place live, with students depicting the scenery they observed, while local residents were able to watch the performances in real time. The artworks produced were also exhibited on site.

• On Thursday, April 17, 2025, as part of the “Tourism Week Celebrations” held in Hüyük District, Konya, open-air painting activities were conducted by fourth-year students of the Department of Painting at Sonsuz Şükran Village in the afternoon. • These activities were carried out as a result of a collaborative effort between the Konya Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Necmettin Erbakan University. • The painting sessions took place live, with students depicting the scenery they observed, while local residents were able to watch the performances in real time. The artworks produced were also exhibited on site.

• As part of the “Tourism Week Celebrations” held in Hüyük District, Konya, the paintings themed “Nature and Agriculture,” produced through the collaborative efforts of the Konya Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Necmettin Erbakan University, were exhibited at the Hüyük Municipality Cultural Activities Center on Thursday, April 17, 2025. • The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of Konya, Mr. İbrahim Akın; Director of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Fikret Fidan; District Governor of Hüyük, Mr. Muhammed Ebrar Evsen; Mayor of Hüyük, Dr. Sadık Sefer; local officials, civil servants, association and foundation representatives, students, and the general public. • During the exhibition opening, our students were present to explain their artworks to the protocol members. • The exhibition was prepared by faculty members of the Department of Painting, Prof. Mustafa Küçüköner, Dr. Ömer Tayfur Öztürk, Lecturer Mustafa Sönmez, as well as master’s and fourth-year students.

• As part of the course “RSM-310-S Wall Painting and Practice,” third-year students of the Department of Painting created murals on the cafeteria walls of Ahmet Hazım Uluşahin İmam Hatip Middle School, located in the Selçuklu District of Konya. • A total of 26 third-year students participated in the project. • Five murals were painted on the cafeteria walls, along with two inscriptions. • Through these wall paintings, the cafeteria setting for middle school students was emphasized. One wall features the phrase “Bismillah” to remind students to say the opening prayer before eating, while another wall displays the verse “Eat, but do not waste,” reinforcing mindful consumption.

• As part of the course “RSM-310-S Wall Painting and Practice,” third-year students of the Department of Painting created murals on the walls of the gymnasium at Ahmet Hazım Uluşahin İmam Hatip Middle School, located in the Selçuklu District of Konya. • A total of 26 third-year students participated in the project. • Five scaffolds were set up in the gymnasium, and students worked in groups on each scaffold to paint a total of eight different themed murals. • Through these wall paintings, the project aims to encourage middle school students to engage in sports activities.
