City and Regional Planning Department

The aim of the Urban and Regional Planning Department undergraduate program is to train visionary undergraduate students who have developed design sensitivity and awareness, who can perceive and interpret rapidly changing technological, scientific, social, economic and administrative organizational forms due to the effects of globalization, who can follow national and international developments in their field, who provide active participation, and who always prioritize the values of public interest, fairness and professional ethics.

Urban and Regional Planning Department education consists of theoretical courses and studio studies that require the synthesis of many different disciplines. Therefore, developing our students' skills in working in this teamwork, evaluating social developments and balancing the representation of social groups that are the subjects of planning, and raising them as individuals who are constantly learning are among our main goals.

In theoretical courses, a wide range of basic information is provided to support studio studies. In studios, research, analysis and planning techniques are taught and plans are produced in sample areas whose scale varies depending on the year of study.
