Center for Experimental Medicine, Application, and Research
The KONÜDAM Center for Experimental Medicine, Application, and Research was established in 1997 by Mr. Haşim Bayram, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kombassan Holding, who commissioned the construction of a four-story building and an adjacent annex on the Faculty of Medicine campus and provided the interior furnishings. The center’s objectives and duties, as stated in the Official Gazette dated November 4, 1997, No. 23160, are as follows: To support projects, original research on new inventions, and patent applications aimed at bringing research, methods, and results from the fields of health and natural sciences worldwide to our country and developing them, thereby advancing our nation’s scientific progress; to conduct scientific research for environmental protection and support such efforts; to facilitate communication, knowledge, and experience exchange among scientific personnel, support ongoing research, publish findings, and award achievements. Serving as an excellent example of collaboration between the private sector and the University in the field of scientific research and development, the Center carries out the activities specified in its charter to achieve the aforementioned objectives and responsibilities.
