Meram Vocational School Plant and Animal Production Department Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program was established in 2016. It started education in the 2016-2017 Academic Year.
Meram Vocational School Plant and Animal Production Department, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program; aims to train assistant technical personnel who are competent in functional applications in the process from plant raw materials to final product in the field of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, have the ability to combine theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge, are competent in the terminology and ethics related to the professional field, are compatible with teamwork, are suitable for work discipline, and have basic knowledge and practice.
Meram Vocational School Plant and Animal Production Department, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program aims to; It aims to create an interdisciplinary and academic understanding of the biological, ecological, genetic and systematic properties of medicinal and aromatic plants that have economic value in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and paint industries, their cultivation, collection and protection from nature, chemical contents and analysis methods, procurement, production and quality control, areas of use and ethics.
