Physical Education and Sports Teaching is an undergraduate program, the language of instruction is Turkish, and the duration of study is 4 years. In order to graduate, students must successfully complete the compulsory and elective courses in Teacher Professional Knowledge (MP), Field Education (AE), and General Culture (GK) in the curriculum.
Graduate Employment Opportunities Our graduates can work as physical education and sports teachers in secondary schools, as academics in universities, and in various fields of private and public organizations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Then, they must be placed in the program according to the results of the Special Aptitude Test (ÖZYES) administered by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), based on their preferences and choices. To be eligible to choose the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Program, a minimum ranking of 800,000th in the Y-TYT exam is required (the success ranking of the placement score without additional points is taken into consideration). 40 students are accepted into the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Program.
Exams include midterm exams, final exams, make-up exams, single-course exams, exemption exams, and excuse exams. These exams may be written, oral, written-oral, or practical.
