Founded on December 9, 2013, within Necmettin Erbakan University, the International Rumi Center for Civilizational Studies is an academic specialized institution aiming to evaluate the deep-rooted civilizational heritage of humanity—the Rumi-Mevlevi wisdom being one of its most exceptional links—through a scientific approach.
Centering upon Hazrat Mevlana’s universal teachings of peace, tolerance, unity, and love, our center has undertaken its primary mission to investigate the historical, sociological, philosophical, and literary dimensions of the Turkish-Islamic civilization in line with international standards. In this respect, it aims to serve as an interdisciplinary research bridge that blends the civilizational visions of the Eastern and Western worlds.

Academic Research and Publications: Conducting original scientific projects on a national and international scale in the fields of civilizational history, Islamic philosophy, Sufi culture, Turkish civil thought, and Mevlevism, and contributing these works to the academic literature.

Symposia, Panels, and Conferences: Leading academic knowledge exchange by organizing international scientific meetings, seminar series, and congresses that bring together specialized local and foreign scholars, researchers, and artists.

Cultural and Artistic Activities: Preserving traditional arts such as the philosophy of music, calligraphy (hat), illumination (tezhip), and miniature through workshops and exhibitions; and bringing the aesthetic values of our civilization together with wider audiences.
