Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Health Sciences aims to train qualified manpower at every level needed in the health sector in our country. The education and training programs of the faculty are focused on practical as well as theoretical courses.
The aim of the department is to train Physiotherapists who provide rehabilitation services that aim to protect and maximize the physical function of the individual in diseases, old age, pain, injury or all other situations that significantly affect individual and community health, cause social and economic losses and various dysfunctions.
Physiotherapist is the person who determines, plans and applies the protocols by making measurements and tests related to his/her profession in order to regulate the physical activities of healthy people and increase their mobility. Moreover,in cases of illness, he/she performs the necessary practices in order to improve the movement and physical function disorders of the patients, depending on the diagnosis and the guidance of the physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist or specialist physicians who have rotated physical medicine and rehabilitation during / after specialization training.
Recently, physiotherapists provide services with increasing numbers of approaches in increasing the quality of life related to independent movement and health in all situations where movement and function are threatened for various reasons.
The present and future needs of societies that have become increasingly inactive due to the developing technology in the world and in our country make the development of the physiotherapist profession inevitable.
The primary goals of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Necmettin Erbakan University are to be open to new visions, strategies and action plans that will further our education and training programs, to take scientific studies further, and to continue to produce and share universal knowledge. In addition, it is to contribute to the development of physiotherapy and rehabilitation science by using of the information technologies of the 21st century.
