Our students, who attended the 12th International İstanbul Gastronomy Festival, took place during February, 12th -15th, returned with medals. The students together with Dean of Faculty Prof. Dr. Raif Parlakkaya and Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferhan Nizamoğlu paid a visit to our Rector Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker at his office.
This year took place the 12th of İstanbul Gastronomy Festival during February, 12th – 15th. From the contest, at which 2000 contestants, of which 400 from 25 various foreign countries, in 52 different categories, attended and evaluated by a jury of 100 people of which 25 foreigners, our students of Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts returned with medals. Our students, respectively, Emre Abalı won bronze medal at the category of Fish Cooking Among University Students, Elif Coşkun won bronze medal at the category of Desert Cooking Among University Students, Cenan Kurban won merit award at the category of Main Course Cooking Among University Students, Müesser Turan, Ayşen Adıgüzel, Fatma Turan and Nebahat Çakaloğlu won bronze medal at the category of Modern Turkish Cuisine Team Contest Among University Students.
