Change and New Tendencies in International Education Syposium Ended With Large Turnout

In honor of education volunteer Dr. Ahmet Keleşoğlu organized “Change and New Tendencies in International Education Symposium” together by Necmettin Erbakan University and Ahmet Keleşoğlu Foundation ended with sessions done on November, 23.

Senior officials from Ministry of National Education(MEB), member of Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şişman, our Rector Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, Rector of Kyrgyzstan Manas University Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı, Chair and members of Council of Deans of Education Faculties, 700 academicians, educationists and specialists from Turkey and different countries attended the symposium. Within the scope of the symposium, more than 300 academic manifestos were presented, besides there were four panels and two workshops on specific subjects.

“Change and New Tendencies in International Education Symposium” which enjoyed attendance of academicians and educationists from many countries principally  from England, Sweden, Czech Republic, Greece, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Bosnia Herzegovina, attracted attention as a platform at which discussions carried out by academicians, administrators in education, teachers, education specialists and teacher candidates on developments that came into prominence on new tendencies in education around the world and in our country.

At on November, 23 under the presidency of member of YÖK Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şişman done session speeches were made by Rector of Kyrgyzstan Manas University Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı, Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Gül from Ahmet Yesevi University, Prof. Dr. Recai Aydın from Bosnia Herzegovina University and university students were informed on education and instruction abroad and universities of related countries were introduced.

After the speeches plates were presented to the speakers by our Rector Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker. During the presentation of painting made by students of Faculty of Education to benevolent businessman Ahmet Keleşoğlu, emotions arose. Sonay Gürgen, General Manager of Selçuk Pharmaceutical Warehouse, pointing out the importance of painting said: “This symposium done in honor of Mr. Ahmet Keleşoğlu has been very successful. Therefore I would like to congratulate everybody mainly our Rector Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker and Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Sünbül who put effort in organization of this symposium and extend my greetings and respect to all.”

Finally our Rector Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker as the last speaker: “I have no doubt that this symposium organized in honor of benevolent businessman, our dear senior, elder brother Mr. Ahmet Keleşoğlu will bring about utmost useful and influential results. I would like to thank valued academicians from Turkey and abroad who contributed to the symposium which will illuminate the escalation in quality of education and educationists and extend my gratitude to audience for their 2-day attendance to the symposium. I wish a successful and healthy life for everybody and extend my regards. “

Symposium Attendants made a Konya city tour, visited Mevlana and carried out a trip to Çatalhöyük antique city on November, 24.

Our Rector Muzaffer Şeker as host together with our guests from Turkey and abroad watched Semah performance at Mevlana Culture Center.
