The Redaction Department, which reports to the Coordination Office for Scientific Publications of our University, carries out studies to make written materials requested for publication with an official application ready for printing.
Texts received by the department are included in the process by assessing the compatibility of title and content, the suitability of the text, for the purpose of writing, its meaning and context. The written text included in the process is edited. Editing aims to prepare the written text as accurately as possible for publication by checking it one last time for grammatical, spelling, expression, and syntax errors before submitting it to the reader. If the written text is a translation, translation and terminology errors in the target text are also checked.
The editor points out legal problems that may affect the author and the publisher and works to bring the work to the reader as accurately as possible.
The editor contributes to the process as a balancing element in the communication between author and publisher within the system.
