Department of Architecture

About Us

About Us
Our department was established after the foundation of our university in 2010.
The department has four sub-departments:
Sub-Department of Building Design and Theory.
Sub-Department of Architectural History
Sub-Department of Historic Preservation and Restoration
Sub-Department of Building Science and Technology
The Department of Architecture aims to educate competent architects who are able to find ways to inform, think flexibly, ask questions, establish relationships, and transform information. The department's goal is to create an educational system that incorporates technology, historical and cultural fabric, incorporates a contemporary approach, is sensitive to the environment, is intertwined with industry, is aware of social responsibility, and can be considered successful nationally and internationally.
The architectural education acquired by our graduates forms versatile personalities individuals who can filter scientific facts about architecture through artistic sensitivity and social awareness. The goal of the School of Architecture, pursuing an educational strategy at an international level, is to train competent architects who are able to access information in all circumstances, think flexibly, question the given information, establish relationships, transform information, and learn how to learn.
The Department of Architecture's area of study includes various subjects such as history, morphology, human sociology, philosophy, and fundamentals such as structural systems and materials. All of these subjects ultimately support architectural design studios.
Courses in architectural design, building information technologies, construction materials, architectonics, architectural history, and restoration are offered to our students in a contemporary work environment. At the same time, the information technologies centres and laboratories are designed to provide a high level of education.

Our Mission and Vision
Our mission is to provide design-oriented education at a national and international level that takes into account technology, historical and cultural fabric, provides a contemporary approach to design, is sensitive to the environment, collaborates with industry, and is aware of social responsibility.
