The Faculty of Health Sciences was established with the decision of the Higher Education Council dated 14.12.2012 and numbered 54412.
The name of the Faculty of Health Sciences was changed to Nezahat Keleşoğlu Faculty of Health Sciences, with the President's decision dated 20.06.2021 and numbered 4180.
The faculty provide employment to seven departments of health sectors : Health Management, Social Work, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Dietetics Departments and Language and Speech Therapy, Audiology and Occupational Therapy Departments that have not yet recruited students.
According to the World Health Organization, “Health is not merely the absence of disease or disability, but a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being”.
The main goal of health education institutions in our country, as worldwide, is to protect the health of the family and society, to prevent diseases, to treat in a disease, starting with the individual. It is the purpose of our faculty to educate healthcare professionals who will provide care and rehabilitation services and the welfare of the individual and society.
To main purposes are train health professionals who have been educated in the light of universal, scientific and ethical values, respect human rights, be open to individual and professional development, have critical thinking and problem-solving skills, can communicate effectively, have adopted interdisciplinary cooperation and teamwork, and are committed to Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions. We aim to contribute to the development of the country's health policies through research and projects.
The primary goal of our faculty is to train qualified health professionals who have achieved contemporary standards with their educational programs and scientific research, internalized ethical and cultural values, use their knowledge and skills for the benefit of humanity, contribute to the development of health policies, cooperate with their stakeholders, for an internationally recognized and preferred leading faculty.
In line with these goals, our faculty works to ensure that our students gain professional knowledge and skills at world standards, as well as to bring them into society as individuals who respect basic human rights and freedoms, internalize social and professional ethical principles, understand the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation, and follow developments with a scientific perspective.
