Department of Electronics and Automation

About Us

Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering that establishes a meaningful integration between machine science, electronic science and computer science in order to create an intelligent machine. Mechatronic products; It consists of a combination of mechanisms, actuators, sensors, computers and control algorithms. The electronic realization of many mechanical functions gives mechatronic products a very flexible structure. Thanks to this flexible structure, mechatronic products; it can be redesigned and programmed much more easily, apply distributed control even to much more complex systems, automatically collect and report data on this data. Thanks to the advantages of mechatronic design, intelligent products have been produced in recent years. For this reason, it is clear that today and in the future, mechatronics engineers and technicians will be needed intensively.
Electronics and Automation department, Mechatronics program, which was opened in 2011 with the normal curriculum, is the newest department of our school. As of the 2021-2022 academic year, the department has 3 lecturers and a total of 96 registered students.

The Purpose of the Program: The aim of the program is to train qualified technical staff who have knowledge and skills in the field of mechatronics, can use mechanical, electrical-electronic, hydraulic-pneumatic and computer technologies, are successful in individual or group work, and care about national values.

Mission of the Program: To be a continuously developing program that can keep the quality of education at the highest level, lead in producing solutions to the problems of our region and our country, cooperate with its stakeholders, attach importance to interdisciplinary work, adopt the principles of total quality management.

Vision of the Program: By taking into account the global trends in the global business world in the field of vocational and technical education, by training the technicians and vocational intermediate staff who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to increase the competitiveness of the industrial, commercial and service sectors, who have an innovative, entrepreneurial and professional ethics understanding, in international quality and standards, and to train qualified personnel needed by the automation sector.
