The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2011. The department consists of 4 main disciplines, namely Mechanics, Machinery Materials and Manufacturing Technologies, Machine Theory and Dynamics, and Energy.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is equipped with the knowledge and experience to take part in technical, administrative, and R&D studies in the industry by providing undergraduate and graduate education at the national and international levels. It aims to train mechanical engineers who are open to technological developments, are entrepreneurial, prone to teamwork, able to produce solutions, researchers, sensitive to environmental and cultural values, beneficial to their country and humanity, who have gained analysis and synthesis skills, who have the habit of continuous learning, the ability to think universally, broad horizons, who can do scientific research to increase the quality of life of the society and can produce technology.
The aim of the Mechanical Engineering Department is to graduate the students in the department as a competent engineer who has reached the level of knowledge and equipment to carry out design, production, application, and, research and development activities. As a result of the education, our graduates can;
- adopt the awareness of lifelong learning,
- be able to adapt to the changing and competitive conditions of professional life,
- have the ability to work in public and private sector institutions,
- provide entrepreneurial and freelance engineering services,
- be able to carry out postgraduate education and/or R&D projects in academic institutions and/or take part in R&D units,
- take on manager and leadership roles.
