Prof. Dr. Mehmet GÖNÜL
He was born in 1973 in Konya. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Konya. He participated in many events with instrumental and vocal performances with the choirs formed in the schools he was a student in until his university education and which won degrees in national competitions. He graduated from Selçuk University, Faculty of Education, Department of Music Education in 1997 with a degree. During his studentship, he participated in many concert programs in various genres and forms of Turkish music.
In 2004, Prof. Dr. Under the consultancy of Fevzi GÜNUÇ, S. Ü. Graduated from the Social Sciences Institute, Department of Islamic History and Arts, in 2010, with Prof. Dr. Under the consultancy of Gülçin YAHYA KAÇAR, S. Ü. He completed his doctorate in the Department of Music Education, Institute of Educational Sciences.
In 2011, Prof. Dr. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor (Assistant Professor) to the Instrument Education Department of the Gazi University Turkish Music State Conservatory, founded by Gülçin YAHYA KAÇAR. He served as Deputy Director, Department Head and Member of the Board of Directors at the Conservatory for a long time. In 2014, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Interpretation (Oud). In 2019, he was appointed as a Professor to Konya Necmettin Erbakan University Turkish Music State Conservatory.
Since the beginning of his undergraduate education (1993) - he has participated in many concert programs in Turkey and abroad with the general Art Director and/or the performance of Oud, Tanbur, Ritim Saz and Ses. Participated in National and International Symposiums, Panels and Workshops as an invitation. He carried out projects at international level, of which he was one of the coordinators. He trained students with Master's and Doctorate degrees. He has articles in peer-reviewed journals, books on advanced oud performance and Turkish music solfeggio maqam dictation exercises, and he is the author of a book chapter in the field of Turkish Music.
Currently; He continues to work as a lecturer and Director at Konya Necmettin Erbakan University Turkish Music State Conservatory, Department of Instrument Education, and continues his academic studies. .
