Meram Vocational School, Department of Herbal and Animal Production Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program was established in 2016. The pogram started education in the 2016-2017 academic year.
Meram Vocational School, Department of Herbal and Animal Production, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program aims to educate technical personnel who have a good command of functional applications in the field of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants from the raw material to the final product, ability to combine their theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge, a good command of the terminology and ethics related to their profession, compatible with teamwork, suitable for the work discipline, and basic knowledge and practice.
Meram Vocational School, Department of Herbal and Animal Production, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program also aims to educate biological, ecological, genetic and systematic properties of medicinal and aromatic plants that have economic value in the food, medicine, cosmetics and dye industry, their cultivation, their collection and protection from nature, their chemical content and analysis methods, procurement, production and quality controls, usage areas and ethics.
