About Us

Meram Vocational School Property Protection and Security Department was established firstly at Necmettin Erbakan University Seydişehir Vocational School in 2013. The programme has been continuing his education in Necmettin Erbakan University Meram Vocational School since 2017.
Nowadays, new developments, projects and laws regarding firefighting are being created, and well-equipped and trained firefighters are needed. In the current system, firefighters are recruited by the fire department with the application of volunteers. In order for the fire brigade and its units to carry out their activities properly, it is obligatory to employ scientifically equipped personnel with the necessary education and skill level. For this reason, it aims to train and educate well-equipped and trained firefighters.
Meram Vocational School Property Protection and Security Department Civil Defense and Firefighting Program is aimed to train and educate firefighters against civil defense and Firefighting, the expansion of search and rescue units and the increase in measures for natural disasters. This program provides students with training in firefighting, environmental protection, in the field of firefighting etc.. Also, the programme aims to provide an education that will provide dominance in the subjects. Earthquake, flood, fire, avalanche, landslide, transportation, home and work accidents, which we define as natural disasters, constitute the working area of ​​the Civil Defense and Firefighting Program.
Career Opportunities
Students who graduated from Meram Vocational School Property Protection and Security Department Civil Defense and Firefighting program, with the theoretical and practical knowledge that they have acquired for two years, may work in Municipal Fire Brigades, Emergency Directorates, Civil Defense Search and Rescue Unit Directorates, Hotels and Public Institutions, Airports and Ports, Fire Brigade and Fire Safety-related device sales and material production companies, Organized Industry and Industrial organizations which may find the opportunity to work.
