About us
The Department of Painting was established in 2013.
It consists of two sub-departments, which are Painting and Print Painting Techniques. The department aims to train painting artists.
In the cultural process that takes place on the axis of science and technology, the Department of Painting aims to train individuals who are aware of the fact that culture and art are at the forefront of the dynamics that make society exist, who consider it their duty to keep it alive and take responsibility in this process.
Our department has started its activities with the aim of training people who will take responsibility for the formation of a futuristic contemporary Turkish art by using the possibilities of science and technology without detaching from the traditional axis of Turkish art, which is not only fed from the West but is also original and nourished by the existing cultural structures of world cultures and art. The changing and developing world conjuncture offers its graduates with employment opportunities in many fields. Our primary mission is to help our students to use their knowledge and experience in the most effective way in their fields of study and to ensure that they acquire all kinds of theoretical and practical tools that will open up visions and new horizons for them by the time they graduate.
Mission and Vision
With the artistic education provided in our department, we want to raise individuals who are equipped with an artistic infrastructure in many ways, who are able to use this equipment in every aspect of their lives, who can work out solutions to the problems they encounter, who can think originally and creatively, and who have reached a high aesthetic level, "self-actualized" individuals.
Our vision for the future is to raise qualified, competitive individuals that our country and nation need based on culture, art and aesthetics, and bring them to life.
