Prof. Dr. Erdal HAMARTA

 

He was born in 1976, Ankara. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Yozgat/Akdağmadeni. He completed his undergraduate education at Selçuk University, Faculty of Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department in 1997. He completed his MA at Selçuk University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Educational Sciences, Department of Psychological Service in Education in 2000, and his PhD in 2004.
He served as a Guidance Counselor at Konya Guidance Research Center between 1998-1999. He served as a research assistant between 1999-2006, as an Assist. Assoc. in Selçuk University, Faculty of Education between 2006-2010. He became Associate Professor in the field of Guidance and Psychological Counseling in 2011 and Professor in 2016. He is currently serving at Necmettin Erbakan University, Ahmet Keleşoğlu Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences, Guidance and Psychological Counseling.
 He served as the Founding Member and President of the Konya Branch of the Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association. Hamarta has 4 co-authored books written in his field of expertise and many articles published in national and international journals. He is currently featured as a member of the editorial board of Education and Science (SSCI) in Primary Education Online journals, and a member of the publishing board of the Turkish Journal of Psychological Counseling and Guidance. Preventive Psychological Counseling and Guidance Services, Counseling with Children, Analysis of Child Pictures (Children's Secret Window) Close relationships, and Family Counseling are his main areas of interest. He still continues to receive Weinheim Systemic Family Counseling training.
