About US

Department of Foreign Language Education was established in 1975 as a subordinate of Selcuk University.

There are three programs in the department: English Language Education, German Language Education, and Arabic Language Teaching. All three departments offer a 5-year undergraduate program, including the Preparatory Class. The programs of German Language Education and English Language Education offer master’s level graduate programs. In our department, education and training opportunities are offered with modern tools and equipment.

The aim of the Department of Foreign Languages​​Education is to train foreign language teachers that the Turkish education system needs, as well as to train highly qualified individuals for the future of the country by making use of science, technology, and art accumulation in the light of universal values, and to offer these individuals' production in the fields of research, education, and service for the benefit of society.
